A passenger was "terrified" after a power bank exploded and caused smoke to fill the cabin of a flight from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur.

Footage from February 9 shows inside the aircraft as smoke began filling the plane.

The filmer said: "I heard people talking loudly on the flight. I turned around and saw there was smoke filling up the cabin. I started to panic as the thought was terrifying.

"The cabin crew where fantastic and was able to isolate the power bank and put the fire out. The flight continued to Kuala Lumpur."

1 hour into a Air Asia flight from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur a powerbank explodes and releases alot of fumes and covers the cabin with smoke.
