Two trained rescue dogs joined the team to aid in the search for survivors as part of the Thai rescue effort in response to the earthquake in Turkey.

The team boarded a Turkish Airlines flight (TK69) at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok bound for Istanbul Airport on Thursday afternoon. They arrived on Friday morning before boarding a domestic flight to the stricken region.

The rescue mission, dubbed 'Thailand for Turke' is a collaboration between several government agencies and private companies and was put together by the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team of Thailand.

Among several organisations, the Thailand Rescue Dog Association (THAI RDA) sent two rescue dogs to support the mission.

The team of 42 members and two rescue dogs has the capability to search and rescue in urban areas during both domestic and international crises and arrived in Turkey with over 200 pieces of search and medical equipment.
