Flock of crows hover above Chinese highway
A massive flock of crows hovered above a highway in eastern China.
Video filmed in the city of Nanjing in Jiangsu Province on February 8 shows hundreds of crows hovering around in the air when cars were moving along the highway.
Some people thought it could be a sign of an impending disaster, such as an earthquake.
Li Li, the head of the Black Panther Wildlife Protection Station, stated that the birds in the video were little-billed crows and they like to engage in group activities.
According to Li, it is in the nature of these birds to gather in large flocks in open spaces to search for food and they return to the warmer city areas to avoid the cold at night, which results in large-scale migration.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
