This is the touching moment a baby girl gazed up at a rescue worker after being pulled from the rubble of a building in Adiyaman, Turkey.

Footage captured on February 9 shows the baby named Nergiz, daffodil in Turkish, looking up at the man as they drive to safety.

This is the miracle moment when a baby girl looks adoringly at a rescuer after she was pulled out alive three days after being engulfed by the Turkey quake. The footage shows baby Nergiz - 'daffodil' in Turkish - being driven to safety after she was rescued from a collapsed building in devastated Adiyaman. As she sits on the lap of a rescuer, she seems to gaze up into his eyes and then begins to gurgle contently. It seems a million miles from the horror of the city around her, where thousands have been killed and injured by the massive earthquake.

The video was obtained on 9th February from the Gendarmerie General Command, which wrote: "Baby Nergiz, you became a daffodil blooming in our arms. Together we are strong."

A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Pazarcik, Kahramanmaras Province, at 4.17am on 6th February. It was felt in nine more Turkish provinces. Later that day, at 1.24pm, a 7.6-magnitude quake hit Elbistan, Kahramanmaras Province, and was followed by 1,117 aftershocks.

As per the latest update by the Disaster And Emergency Management Presidency, 18,342 have died and 74,242 are injured in Turkey. Along with the casualties in northern Syria, more than 21,000 people are confirmed dead.
