A hotel employee has been seriously wounded by a guest in Paducah, Kentucky on Saturday morning, February 11 in a shooting.

Footage shows first responders at the Best Western hotel.

"From what I understand there was an active shooter in Paducah, Kentucky at the Best Western hotel of I-24 Exit 11," Newsflare's filmer said.

Sheriff Ryan Norman told the West Kentucky Star that the victim was an employee of the hotel. The victim has been transported to a local hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries. Norman said that the suspect is from Florida and was a guest at the hotel, the paper added.

Investigators are still trying to determine what lead to the shooting, the paper reported.
