The largest waterfall on the Yellow River has started to flow again as the ice thaws due to warmer weather in China.

Spectacular video filmed in the city of Linfen in Shanxi Province on February 9, shows the frozen Hukou waterfall beginning to thaw with water flowing down.

Due to the impact of the ice jams, the Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area was temporarily closed on January 26.

But with the warming weather, the ice is now melting and the frozen Yellow River has reopened.

In order to open up the scenic spot quickly, diggers were also used to remove the ice from the banks.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
