A woman entered a branch of Sberbank in Aznakayevo, Russia, and set fire to the ATMs, on February 11.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan reported that the arson attack was committed by a 63-year-old resident. She covered the ATMs with a flammable liquid and then set them to fire.

The press office of Sberbank confirmed the incident and reported that the blaze was promptly extinguished, with no one injured.

The woman has now been arrested and could risk a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

Sberbank reassured the public that the branch will continue to operate as usual starting on February 13 and that the safety and security of their customers and employees are of utmost importance.

The bank urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to the authorities.
