Mysterious spots of light were captured above a city in northern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province on February 13.

According to eyewitness Mr Jiang, the strange lights appeared in the southwest sky at around 5:23 pm and only lasted for a few seconds. He described the lights as "very high, very bright" and unlike anything he had ever seen before.

Jiang said. "The lights appeared one by one, and then disappeared just as quickly." He added that he tried to take a photo with his phone, but the lights vanished before he could capture them.

The Qiqihar Meteorological Bureau has yet to provide an explanation for the mysterious lights and a spokesperson for the Qiqihar City Air Defense Office said that they had not received any notices of training or exercises that could explain the phenomenon.

齐齐哈尔气象局工作人员表示，目前还不知道这个事，没有办法对此作出解释。
齐齐哈尔市防空办公室工作人员表示：“没有接到演习或是训练的通知，不用担心。”
