A restaurant in southern China exploded due to a gas leak.

Dramatic CCTV footage filmed in the city of Yunfu in Guangdong Province on February 13 shows multiple people standing outside the restaurant when the explosion happened, with three of them being knocked down by the shockwave but quickly getting up and running away.

The shattered glass from the restaurant's windows and doors flew onto the road, causing a passing motorcycle to fall over.

The fire was put out by firefighters after they arrived at the scene.

According to multiple departments in Xinxing County, there was no one inside the restaurant at the time of the incident and no casualties were reported.

Preliminary investigations suggested that the incident was caused by a gas leak from a gas cylinder.
