Banksy artwork appears in England, piece removed by local council hours after
A Banksy artwork appeared in Margate on Valentine's Day, only to be dismantled by the local council hours after.
The art piece called "Valentine's Day Mascara" includes a mural showing a 1950s housewife with a swollen eye and missing tooth, apparently shutting a man in an installed freezer. The Thanet District Council said that the fridge freezer had been removed on the grounds of safety as it was on public land.
The video owner said, "I went to see the new Banksy that appeared in Margate this morning just in time to see Thanet District Council removing the fridge."
