Rescuers pull out a woman named Esra from under rubble in Hatay, Turkey. She was rescued 179 hours after a major earthquake. The video was obtained from the Gendarmerie General Command, which described the rescue as a "miracle".

It shows the woman trapped on her side in an impossibly-tight gap beneath the wreckage of an apartment block. It looks as if tonnes of concrete could come crashing down on top of her at any moment. Rescue workers can be seen carefully drilling through a wall so they can get into the gap and put the woman on a stretcher. While one gingerly uses the drill, another shields her face from falling debris with what seems to be a piece of wood. She is then inched out into daylight clearly in pain as she talks to her rescuers while they carry her towards an ambulance.

The national gendarmerie force said: "179 hours after the earthquake, we managed to pull another female citizen out of the rubble. We continue our search and rescue efforts without giving up hope." The survivor's age, surname, and current condition are unclear.

A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck the district of Pazarcik in Kahramanmaras Province at 4.17am on 6th February. It was felt in nine more Turkish provinces.
Later that day, at 1.24pm, a 7.6-magnitude quake hit the district of Elbistan in Kahramanmaras Province and was followed by 2,724 aftershocks. As per the latest update by the Disaster And Emergency Management Presidency, 31,643 have died and more than 80,000 are injured in Turkey. Along with the casualties in northern Syria, almost 40,000 people are confirmed dead.
