A hero rider pulled over to save a lost cat stranded on a busy flyover.

Apiwat Panthong was travelling to work when he noticed a black figure cowering on the corner of an overpass in Nonthaburi province, Thailand on February 12.

He stopped his two-wheeler at a distance to avoid scaring the feline when he realised what was happening and approached to pick it up.

Footage shows the little black creature as Apiwat walked over to pick it up.

Apiwat said: ‘I stopped to have a look because there are a lot of dogs and cats that were hit in these parts before.'

When the rider took the cat, he saw wounds on its paws and legs.

He added: ‘The cat might have been trying to leave the area but was hurt and that's when I found it on the side of the road.'

Apiwat took the black cat home and fed it before tending to its wounds. He also later decided to adopt the cat.
