In a heartwarming incident in Udala, Mayurbhanj Odisha India, a National Service Scheme (NSS) officer, Dillip Parmanik, saved a roadside puppy from certain death. The puppy had accidentally got its head stuck inside a plastic jar while trying to eat.

According to Parmanik, he noticed the puppy crying and struggling to cross the road as he was heading to his office. He immediately rushed to help the distressed animal, with the assistance of a passerby.

In an interview, Parmanik said, "I felt disgusted to see the puppy in such a condition. It was a matter of life and death for the little one, and I knew I had to act quickly."

The timely intervention of Parmanik and the passerby saved the puppy's life. Parmanik further added, "If we had delayed by even five minutes, the puppy would not have survived."

The incident has highlighted the need to raise awareness about responsible waste disposal and the importance of compassion towards animals.

This heroic act by Dillip Parmanik has earned him widespread praise from the community, as well as animal welfare organizations.
