Buy video

A beautiful Pueblan Milk Snake (Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli) is shown off on its owners hand. This is a harmless snake whose color pattern closely mimics the pattern of the venomous coral snake, using it to ward off predators and tricking them into believing it is dangerous. They are called "Pueblan" snakes because they're native to the Mexican state of Puebla, as well as other dry, arid desert regions throughout Central Mexico.
