Resident wakes up to dozens of koi fish swimming around flooded home in Indonesia
A resident woke up to dozens of his koi fish swimming around his flooded home in Indonesia.
Footage shows the bright orange creatures gliding through the clear deluge of his water-filled garden following heavy rain in Makassar city on February 13.
The fish escaped from the pond when the water from an overnight downpour rose to knee-deep levels.
Pet owner Yudhi Al said some of the fish were saved but many had also swam away from his house intro surrounding roads.
He said: ‘It was so sad that I lost most of my koi. The flood was unexpected and I didn't have another place to put them aside from the pond.'
Continuous downpours and the rising sea tides submerged large parts of Makassar city on Monday.
