This is the dramatic moment homes collapsed before being washed away by flash floods on February 14 in Cauayan City, Philippines.

Footage shows the wooden and corrugated iron properties being swept away by the surging water which burst its banks following heavy rain in Cnear Negros Occidental.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said three weather systems prevailing across the Philippines are causing torrential downpours.

In its latest bulletin, the state weather agency said the central and southern Philippine islands of Visayas and Mindanao will experience localized thunderstorms due to the trough of a low-pressure area.

Tropical Philippines sees an average of 20 storms per year. The Southeast Asian nation -- ranked among the most vulnerable to climate change -- grapples with devastating floods and landslides annually.
