An adorable Golden Retriever hugged his owner when he returned from work.

The affectionate three-year-old pooch named Sanji ran up to the sedan when it parked in front of their home in Pathum Thani province, Thailand on February 8.

Footage shows Sanji standing on his hind legs to reach the driver's seat and snuggle with his owner. His owner rubbed him on the back during the touching hug that lasted for almost a minute.

The pet owner Yoko said it had been the dog's routine to greet him whenever he returns home.

He said: ‘Sanji is such a clingy pooch like a baby. We raised him like our child and misses us all the time if we are not around.

‘Before bedtime, he would give us good night hugs too. We are very lucky to have him.'
