The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6, struck Turkey on February 6th, causing extensive damage and loss of life. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, over 36,000 people have died and over 100,000 have been injured in Turkey, with additional casualties reported in Syria.
