A ceiling light narrowly missed a boy as it suddenly fell down in a living room in southern China.

Terrifying CCTV footage filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on February 16 shows a light suddenly collapsing from the ceiling when a boy was sitting on the floor to watch TV.

The light was seen suddenly dropping onto the floor just inches away from the boy.

The boy got frightened and ran to find his parent immediately while calling "mama, mama."

The boy's father named Liu Wei ran out of the room to check as well as comforted the boy.

According to Liu, the incident was caused by the age of the ceiling light.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured.

In southern China, intense footage captured by CCTV shows a ceiling lamp suddenly fell which almost hit a kid sitting underneath it.

The accident happened in Guangzhou, Guangdong on Feb 16. The CCTV footage displays that a lamp fell from the ceiling abruptly and hit the floor with a bang.

The boy who sat underneath the lamp was watching TV at that moment.

He was frightened into crying and yelled for his mom and dad. The parents rushed to the scene, comforting him and checking for his injuries.

According to Liu Wei, the father, the child was unscathed.

The ceiling lamp aged so it fell off, added the father. Now they avoided using the lights in the living room.
