Chinese motorist encounters endangered Siberian tiger lying on highway guardrail
A motorist encountered an endangered Siberian tiger lying on a guardrail on the side of a highway in northern China.
Video filmed in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province on February 14 shows a tiger lurking on the road.
When a motorist named Wang drove close to the tiger, it came down from the guardrail and ran along the road.
Finally, the tiger left the highway road where the guardrail ended.
Wang speculated that the tiger might have been searching for a way down from the highway.
According to National Geographic, the number of the Siberian tiger is fewer than 4,000 in the wild today and the tiger populations have been in a rapid decline over the past century.
