A rescue team was called in to safely remove a 15ft long king cobra that was found on a duck coop ceiling.

The team arrived at the house in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on February 11. They found the king cobra coiled below the roof of the structure. The snake tried to slither away when the team tried to catch it.

They had to climb on the fence in a bid to catch the king cobra. Wildlife rescuer Apichet Harasuk, 18, caught the reptile with his bare hands. He said that he had never caught a king cobra as large as this before.

Apichet urged people who find snakes to identify their species and where it is before calling the rescue team.
