A fearless rescuer caught a king cobra using bare hands.

Footage shows the skilful man charming the cobra that he found curled up in the corner of a bathroom in Bangkok, Thailand on February 13.

He slowly patted its head and backed away for a bit when it seemed aggressive. After a few moments, the rescuer grabbed the snake and took it out of the room.

Researchers found that 7,000 people are treated for snake bites each year in Thailand. Suchai Suteparuk from the Division of Toxicology at Chulalongkorn University reported that 30 of those die, with cobras being the biggest killer.
