Mustafa Avci speaks to his relative after being rescued 261 hours under rubble in Hatay, Turkey following an earthquake.

He chats excitedly on the phone, asking about the safety of his family members. Another survivor, Mehmet Ali Sakiroglu, was also rescued from a collapsed health facility.

The 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey on 6th February, causing extensive damage and casualties. Latest updates report 38,044 deaths and over 108,068 injuries in Turkey, with an additional 5,814 casualties in Syria.
