A concerned local filmed what appears to be shimmering chemical contamination in the Leslie Run, a stream near the site of the East Palestine trail derailment.

Footage captured on February 19 shows the resident using a stick to disturb the water's surface, revealing a rainbow-coloured oil.

Another clip shows the filmer using her foot to reveal the shimmering oil.

"This is just shallow rocks in the creek bed that when stepped on the release is crazy," the filmer added.
