Tesla replenishes battery at charging point in Bangkok, Thailand
Footage shows a Tesla electric car replenishing its batter at a charging point in Bangkok, Thailand, on Monday.
The pricey American vehicle was using the new station at the Central World shopping mall in the Thai capital. The points are not open ot other brands of electric cars.
Tesla - run by eccentric billionaire Elon Musk - opened a pop-up showroom in a shopping mall in Bangkok in December 2022 as the company pushes growth plans in Southeast Asia. It is the firm's first 'foray into the regional hubs' which have been dominated by Japanese powerhouses such as Toyota and Nissan.
They are selling their cars online in Thailand amid strong competition yet from Chinese carmakers BYD and Great Wall Motors. The Chinese cars have received impressive reviews and are also cheaper than Tesla EVs.
