CCTV footage has emerged from China of a motor tricycle rider being rescued by passersby after flipping his vehicle and getting trapped under it.

In the footage, captured on a security camera in Jiangsu Province on Tuesday, the scooter can be seen losing balance and rolling over when it turns left, trapping the rider under its trailer.

Six bystanders soon gather to remove the vehicle and goods off the rider's body before the emergency team takes him to the hospital.

According to news reports, the man cracked his skull but luckily survived.
