The spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, Kevin Echery, says the Diocese is considering bankruptcy in response to the hundreds of pending sexual abuse claims.

The Diocese did file for bankruptcy in 2007, however, they were still ordered to pay nearly $200 million for abuse claims.

The Diocese says they are facing more than 400 claims against them.

Spokesperson Echery says that some claims date back as far as 1945.
