An overloaded truck toppled over while making a U-turn on a motorway.

Dasham footage shows the six-wheeler wobbling as it steered to the right to switch lanes through the highway's central reservation in Chonburi province, Thailand on February 19.

The delivery truck carried anoverloaded and unsteady pile of wooden crates and eventually fell on its side.

Driver Silk Nadthaya who was following behind said: 'The truck slowed down but his cargo was too heavy for the tight curve. It happened under an overpass.'

While the driver was unhurt, his vehicle had to be towed away along with the crates.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.

However, a lack of road safety education in schools, cheap loans for cars, notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws as well as endemic corruption and chronic under-investment in infrastructure hamper the efforts.
