A Thai gunman injured two people after shooting at a drunk Korean cannabis shop owner in the early hours of the morning.

The shooter fired at Kim Namil, 47, who was said to be making a commotion near a food shop in Pattaya, Thailand at around 2 am on February 22.

The bullet hit Kim's right leg, while another struck passing motorist Thanawat Saichalee, 25, in his left leg.

The injured men were taken to a hospital.

Police were called to the scene and found two used 9mm cartridges. Witnesses said Kim, who runs a cannabis shop nearby, had been 'making a lot of noise' annoying the suspect.

The man pulled out a gun and fired before fleeing.

Pattaya police chief Police Colonel Thanapong Pothi said: 'We have already identified the shooter and are searching for him.

'It is unclear if his motive was frustration or if he had a previous argument with the Korean. However, we are confident that the perpetrator will be arrested soon.'
