This is the terrifying moment a husband found a huge python rearing up from his TOILET.

Peerapan Janbailek, 23, was getting ready for bed when he sat on the loo and noticed the beast probing the contours of the bowl at his home in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on Sunday night.

The terrified young man said it was too late to call the emergency services so he poured warm water into the lavatory to try to flush the reptile back into the pipework.

However, he left his camera running all night and was shocked to see the killer snake had made several appearances in the early morning hours.

Chillingly, Peerapan has still not caught the creature despite hacking away the toilet to look inside the pipework.

'I'm scared it will come back,' he said.

'I haven't used this toilet since. It could bite me on the bottom while I'm not expecting.'

Peerapan ripped out the toilet and looked under the concrete floor but there was no sign of the predator, which kills its victims by suffocating then swallowing them whole.

He is now avoiding the bathroom amid fears the snake - estimated to be between 8ft and 12ft long based on the size of its head - could emerge again.

The mechanic added: 'The snake is attracted to something in my house. He will be back, for sure.

'Whenever I go into the room I use my phone flash and point it down the toilet. The toilet should be a comfort area but after what happened is that it became a place I have to be alert. The safest place has become the most dangerous place.'

Bangkok has more snakes than people. Pythons are the most common in the capital city and they can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes. They live in canals, sewers, ponds, swamps, undergrowth and even in new housing estates.

SUBTITLES

2.36 Hello my name is Peerapan Janbailek. That day at 11 PM I came down to eat. After completing my meal, I went to the toilet before bed

2.47 I was using my phone while sitting on the toilet and I was not done yet. I looked down and saw a dark shadow moving near my bottom

2.55 I was curious. I thought to myself, I did not let anything out from my body yet, then what could that dark figure be

3.01 I stuck my head down and saw the creature's head right below my butt. I jumped out of the toilet and yelled all over my house saying 'I found a snake'

3.12 That was the first time I saw the snake. I asked other people for a solution and followed all of them. Some told me to use the toilet washing liquid and some said I should pour caustic soda into the toilet

3.23 I chose to use caustic soda. I poured it into the toilet with hot water. After I did that, I put up a camera to record the toilet to check if the snake would come out

3.37 Then the snake showed itself just like how you see in the video. The moment the snake came out I was already sleeping and the camera was recording

3.47 Right now I have already contacted a team to smash the toilet and take out the snake. It's been two nights and the snake refuses to leave the toilet

3.56 So I poured powder all over the floor to find out where the snake was and follow the trace it left on the floor

4.05 But the snake did not come out and leave any marks on the floor so I'm sure the snake is still inside my toilet. Tonight is the night I will take action and take out the toilet. We'll see if I will get to see the snake face-to-face or not

4.16 Now I'm worried. Whenever I go into the room I use my phone flash and point it down the toilet. The toilet should be a comfort area but after what happened is that it became a place I have to be alert. The safest place has become the most dangerous place
