UK supermarkets face fruit and veg shortages due to poor weather conditions

Supermarkets across the UK are facing fruit and vegetable shortages due to extreme weather affecting harvests abroad.

Footage captured on February 22 in a Tesco store in Uxbridge, London, shows multiple shelves scarce of produce. Labels that read, "sorry, due to adverse weather conditions, these products are out of stock," where stuck onto shelves.

Tesco is putting limits of three per customer on sales of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers.

However, Sainsbury's, Lidl, Waitrose and M&S have not announced any limits.
