Bananas, apples and potatoes are sitting on most fresh vegetables shelves in Morrison’s branch in Holloway Road, London as fresh fruit distribution crisis is deepening in the UK. Morrison’s is one of the biggest supermarket chains lacking enough fresh vegs and limiting tomato purchases for customers.

Morrisons stated that their range of tomatoes has been "significantly impacted" by bad weather in Spain and Morocco. They said: "Availability across our tomato range has been significantly impacted by adverse weather conditions across Spain and Morocco. The current shortage is likely to improve within a couple of weeks."
