A worker trapped on a tower crane was rescued just moments before it collapsed at a burning construction site in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Jining in Shandong Province on February 22 shows a worker getting trapped on the luffing jib of a tower crane as heavy smoke rose into the air at a construction site.

The worker's colleague operated another crane to save him just a minute before the crane that he got trapped on collapsed.

According to a witness, the construction site suddenly caught fire with heavy smoke rising into other air. A tower crane was located at the site of the fire and a worker got trapped dozens of metres high on it.

The fire has been put out and no casualties were reported.

The Jining Municipal Fire Rescue Brigade and the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau said that they are still investigating the case.

事发济宁市任城区环城西路，这里是济宁市某中学新校区的在建工地。22日下午，有目击者介绍 ，当天上午11时许，工地突然起了大火，浓烟滚滚。其中一台塔吊正处在起火位置，塔吊上的一名工人被困在几十米高的空中无法下来，又吸着浓烟，十分危险。此时，有师傅开来另一台塔吊，吊臂伸过去将被困者救了下来。工人获救约1分钟后，那台塔吊就倒塌了。
现场视频显示，工地上的火焰和浓烟中有一台红色的塔吊，塔吊顶上有一名工人，下面的围观者发出惊呼。此时边上开来一台黄色的塔吊，师傅将吊臂靠近被困工人，后者爬到这台塔吊上被救了下来。另有视频显示，不一会儿，红色的塔吊倒塌，重重砸向地面。
22日下午3时许，任城区消防救援大队工作人员告诉记者，此次火灾已处理完毕，事故中没有伤亡。济宁市消防救援支队和市应急局均表示，详细情况正在了解中。
