Cleaners remove dirt from blocked sewers in Vietnam
Determined cleaners were happy to get their hands dirty as they removed dirt from blocked sewers in Vietnam on Monday.
The dedicated workers climbed down the manholes and dipped in dirty water to scoop out the thick sludge that had built up on the passageway in Vinh Long province.
Footage shows a man deep under the 6ft-deep drain handing a bucket full of mud to a colleague outside. In another clip, he dug the bucket deep under the water despite the stinky smell to unclog the sewer.
Onlooker Keisiuhang said: ‘Behind the beautiful and clean streets are the hardworking men. They work through the heat of the sun and rainy nights. They even sleep on the streets to finish a job.'
