Leopard escapes Lions on the prowl during our Safari

One afternoon, I was out conducting a open vehicle safari drive and came across this Leopard resting near the base of a tree.

Shortly after a pride of Lions that had got the scent of the Leopard, began moving towards him. (Predators will kill other predators as they are competition for food).
The Leopard had two choices, one, Lay flat and be very still or run up the nearest tree.

As I thought the Leopard crouched down as flat as he could watching as the Lions got within 10 meters of him. Fortunately for him the Lions did not spot him but when he thought the might have he bolted up a tree near by and managed to escape what would have been his demise.
