A man living in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, has formed an unlikely relationship with a crane he helped rehabilitate after finding the animal with a broken leg.

Mohammad Arif, a farmer, was on the way to his fields when he spotted the struggling bird that couldn't move as he approached.

The farmer then picked up the bird and brought it into his home where he was able to bandage the crane's broken leg.

Arif and his family expected the bird to fly off when its leg had recovered but the crane has become an integral part of their lives they claim.

Footage shows Arif feeding the bird and even the crane flying alongside him as he rides his motorbike down a road.

Arif says there aren't any restrictions imposed on the bird and it is free to fly off at any time.

INDIA(Uttar Pradesh) In August 2022, Arif (30), a farmer from Mandka village in Amethi, was on his way to his fields. There he saw a stork whose leg was broken. The stork did not run away when he came closer but started looking toward Arif with the eyes of mercy. After which Arif picked it up and brought it to his home. Arif bandaged the bird(Stork) and cured it by treating it.


Arif and his family expected that the stork would fly away after recovering, but it did not happen. Arif's service attracted the heart of the stork so much that it started living near his house. Since then till now Arif's family has become a family of storks. The stork is an integral part of that family. Wherever Arif goes, a stork accompanies him. He eats with Arif and stays with Arif. Not only this, when Arif goes to the market on his bike, the stork flying along as his shadow. When Arif buys goods at the shop, the stork stands beside it.

Arif takes good care of the stork, feeds it with eggs as well as a variety of food items, and serves it. Not only this, Arif's attachment to stroke has now become amazing. Arif just considers it a miracle from above. Arif says that it is Allah's will, nothing else.

Arif says that sometimes he goes towards the jungle, meets his friends and family, and comes back to my house, he does not stay in the jungle. The biggest thing is that whenever a herd of 2-4 storks comes to take him away, he runs away from outside and goes inside the house, but does not go to the forest with them. In such a situation, he goes whenever he feels like it, otherwise he does not even look toward the forest.

He said that it is completely free. There is no restriction of any kind on him. After flying in the sky, the stork comes back to our house at the end of the day. We have become attached to this stork like a family member.
