Heavy rains brought by a Low-Pressure Area and other weather disturbances in Southern Philippines have caused extensive damage to both government and private infrastructure.

This video shows the effects of the inclement weather on the Bacon district road in Sorsogon City, which leads to Albay. The road has been closed due to a landslide in Barangay Osiao, Bacon, Sorsogon City, with nearly 100 meters of the road covered by large stones, trees, and other materials from the mountain.

Local residents have been risking their lives to cross the area on single motorcycles to go home and to work since there is no alternative route. The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of Sorsogon City has deemed it unsafe to clear the area as the mountain is saturated with water, and another landslide could happen at any moment.
