An illegal cocaine manufacturing lab with a monthly production capacity of two tonnes was discovered in the jungle near La Barquilla village, Sucumbios province, Ecuador.

The Armed Forces and National Police of Ecuador collaborated in Operation Pulley and immediately arrested a person at the site. The officers seized several items used for processing cocaine, including 15,000 liters of acetone, 2,500 liters of chemical precursor, and 416 liters of diesel. The illegal lab reportedly had an accommodation capacity of 25-30 people and was destroyed by the Ecuadorian Army after the detectives completed their investigation. The evidence was handed over to competent authorities, and the investigation is ongoing.

The footage of the illegal lab prior to its destruction was published by the Ecuadorian Army on their Twitter page on February 19.
