Lewis Capaldi has announced a break from music on Tuesday (June 27), the singe confirmed on social media.

Fans finished Lewis Capaldi's song as the Scottish singer struggled with Tourette's on stage during his Frankfurt concert on February 21.

Katharina Shry captured a video of Capaldi turning away from the microphone with his head and shoulder appearing to twitch uncontrollably.

As the 26-year-old seemed unable to carry on singing his hit "Someone You Loved", the crowd jump in and finish the rest of the song, one of the most streamed ever on Spotify.

Shry, the filmer, told Newsflare: "I was a fan at the concert in Frankfurt and it was a touching moment to be part of the audience and to finish your song together.

"We supported him together because we have to protect him and want to show him that he doesn't have to sing for us, we have to sing for him. We support him."

Capaldi revealed he had Tourette's in 2022.

The reason for Capaldi's break is unknown at the time.
