Excavators were used as the rescue operation to find 47 missing miners in northern China began.

Video filmed in Alxa League in Inner Mongolia on February 22 shows firefighters and diggers working on the collapsed slope to search for missing workers.

Twenty-three emergency rescue teams with a total of 1,155 people are currently participating in the rescue operation, including seven national professional rescue teams with 255 people.

Experts conducted emergency on-site surveys to optimise rescue plans. They adopted a layered excavation and trapezoidal slope reduction method and conducted excavation, search and rescue work from both sides of the mountain.

As of 2:00 pm on February 24, six people have been killed, six were injured, and 47 are still missing.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
