We respect the memory of 36 brave Georgians who died for Ukraine - we are grateful for your courage, desire for freedom and independence, - said the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, while addressing a rally in support of Ukraine on Rustaveli Avenue.
At the Parliament of Georgia, where the Ukraine solidarity action - "This is Georgia, glory to the heroes" is taking place, a minute's silence was held to honor all those Georgian warriors who fell victim to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
The names and surnames of the dead Georgian soldiers were read at the rally on the main avenue of the capital.
Before that, the anthems of Georgia, Ukraine and the European Union were played during the rally.

As he noted, he hopes that Ukraine and Georgia will successfully pass the road to Europe.
"We honor the memory of 36 brave Georgians who died for Ukraine. Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian barbarians, many soldiers were wounded, some of them were captured by the Russians. We are grateful for your courage, desire for freedom and independence. I am sure that both Ukraine and Georgia, whose people aspire to democratic Europe, will successfully pass this path. Our countries will become members of the European Union. No one can prevent our people from realizing their civilized choices! Today, we also defend Europe and its values. "Glory to Ukraine, glory to Georgia, glory to the heroes," Klitschko says.
