The thrilling moment of spying on a thief through the security camera monitor. He was pretending to be asleep when he was caught at a place of worship in Indonesia.

CCTV recorded that the perpetrator, a 17-year-old teenager, entered the Darussalam mosque in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra Province on Tuesday (February 21).

He checked the charity box then took something from under the cupboard to take out the money from the box.

He wasn't aware, 3 mosque guards in the back room saw him from the CCTV monitor.

“We rushed into the mosque and surrounded the thief. He pretended to be asleep and dodged pretending that nothing had happened. But before the police arrived, he admitted that he often took money here.” said mosque guard, Razif Ansor (21).

The petty thief was brought to the police station, his parents called in to be advised to watch his son's behavior.

The perpetrator allegedly needed money to buy cigarettes and was drunk because he was influenced by the environment since he dropped out of school and became friends with the streets.
