Many houses and shops that were close to the site of the incident also caught fire. The road was blocked after the tanker and trailer caught fire and a large crowd gathered at the scene. Fire engines arrived at the spot as soon as the incident was reported, and firefighters started working to douse the fire.

The deceased were identified as Loom Singh, Sunderlal, Shravan Vishnoi and Kamlesh (three drivers and one attender).

Of the three injured, a woman with serious burns was rushed to the JLN Hospital in Ajmer, while two others were taken to the Amrit Kaur Hospital in Beawar.
