A fine art student has gone viral on TikTok after creating pieces of cake that look exactly like mouldy bread and raw chicken, leaving viewers disgusted.

Instead of your usual paintings and canvases, student Tatum Parden has taken her pieces to the next level by using baked goods as her medium.

Over the last three years, the 21-year-old has been designing bizarre hyper-realistic items including raw chicken, dead pigeons, and even a slug.

In her more recent creation, which has racked up over three million views on TikTok (@cucumberskinlinguine), the Londoner offered up a piece of cake that looks exactly like mouldy bread, leaving many people feeling sick to the stomach.

"I started making cakes at college three years ago for an art project,” Tatum told NeedToKnow.online.

"For the project, I made a red velvet pigeon cake, ran it over with a car and edited the footage into a video titled ‘Roadkill’.

"I like how my sculptures only exist for a certain amount of time. I’m interested in attraction and repulsion.

"It took about a week to make the mouldy sandwich cake.

"I worked on it at university, which became a temporarily awkward situation when I was told to throw my sandwich away because there was someone in the building with a mould allergy.

"My friend ate the cake on camera, I forgot to warn him that the cake inside was green so he was very disturbed when he first bit into it.

"He did say he really liked the candy floss [flavour] though."

Despite the supposed nice taste, viewers on TikTok aren’t convinced.

Many commented on the clip saying they found the dessert "uncomfortable".

"I think I would have placebo food poisoning after eating that,” wrote one user.

"My jaw dropped in the beginning because I genuinely thought it was already mouldy," said someone else.

Another person added: "You did really good because I know it’s not actually moulding but I still won’t eat it."

"I can't describe how uncomfortable this made me for some reason," someone else wrote.

"I wouldn’t be able to eat it," someone else wrote.

One person commented: "Watching this made my stomach hurt."

Unfortunately for those who were left horrified by the mouldy bread, Tatum has revealed her next creation is going to be even more "disgusting".

Tatum said: "People on TikTok were mostly disgusted, which is the reaction I wanted.

“However, some people said they would be willing to try it.

"My weirdest creation so far is probably my raw chicken cake.

"However, I’m currently working on a life-size toilet cake which I think will definitely be a contender for one of my weirdest creations when it’s finished.

"I have to use Rice Krispy treats to make the toilet bowl structure but the water tank and base of the toilet will be made of cake.

"I’m going to make fake urine for the toilet bowl/seat using apple juice jelly.

“It’s going to be really disgusting."
