Extinction Rebellion sail in front of Parliament in water pollution protest
Extinction Rebellion activists sail in front of the Parliament buildings to highligh the continued pollution of UK waterways (February 27).
The boat which had a sail attached reading: 'United Kingdom Parliament, facilitating the degredation of waterways 1706-2063' and drummers on board to protest sewage being released onto beaches - often used by swimmers, the contamination of the River Thames with sewage and by HS2 works in Colne Valley.
Since 2017, Thames Water has been fined millions for 11 cases of water pollution.
