Video captured the moment of the River procession festival in Hung Yen, northern Vietnam.
The festival is usually held on the 8th day of the second lunar month every year. The festival is called "Man Xuyen Palanquin procession"
The village holds the opening ceremony of communal houses, pagodas and temples, and young people in the village participate with the elders in the work of pulling the divine flags and drums.
Two palanquins will be carried by healthy young people from the temple to the riverbank and the palanquins will be carried across the river and back to the temple by young people.
The festival has the meaning of the village festival as towards the source, the land where vegetables are buried, where the source of love is. Coming to the Man Xuyen Village Festival, lighting incense sticks not only pray for favorable weather, good trees, healthy people, and peace. The house is happy but also grateful to the ancestors who have openly explored and built this land, and at the same time people are excited in the sacred and vibrant atmosphere.
