Sakura trees burst into beautiful blooms at a university in Thailand, enchanting visitors with their delicate pink blossoms.

Rows of pink-crowned wild Himalayan cherry trees adorned the campus streets in Nakhon Pathom province, and locals took the chance to snap photos and pose for selfies with the seasonal blooms.

Footage from March 1 shows residents posing beneath the trees, with fallen flowers forming a blanket of pink underfoot.

The flowers usually unfurl once a year between January to April, depending on the weather.

This year, the trees are expected to be in full bloom from March 12 to 16 at the Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus.

The wild Himalayan cherry, also known as sour cherry, is a deciduous tree found in southern and eastern Asia.

They can grow up to 98 feet in height.
