This is the hilarious moment an unruly pet husky disrupted a couple's solemn Buddhist wedding ritual.

The brown and white pooch named Pung Pung attended the ceremony with his owners and guests in Nakhon Sawan province, Thailand on February 28.

But the overly-excited two-year-old Pung Pung sparked waves of laughter among the crowd when he ran up to the platform where monks chanted for the newlyweds.

Footage shows the Siberian Husky dog trying to join the orange-robed men as guests and groomsmen dragged him away. The bride was seen quietly smiling while praying during the incident.

Wedding coordinator Chantima Poolsawat said: ‘Everyone was listening to the serious religious chants when the dog appeared out of nowhere and attempted to join the monks.'

The pooch was carried back to the guests' aisle before it sprinted to climb the stairs. Pung Pung, however, was caught before he could reach the platform.

Chantima added: ‘He wanted to join the monks. Maybe he was curious about what they were doing.'
