A dust devil swept through a car park at a tourist attraction, surprising a woman in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Liuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on February 26 shows a twister swirling through a parking lot among the moving cars.

A woman named He said she saw "white smoke" rise from the ground when she was parking her car. She felt that the wind's speed and strength were quite significant and she had never seen anything like it before.

The entire process lasted less than a minute. The dust devil did not dissipate until it encountered a truck and knocked over a shop sign.

The dust devil was caused by uneven heating of the ground. When the ground is locally heated, it can produce a small-scale vortex in the near-surface layer of the atmosphere.

2月26日，广西柳州，何女士到开山寺旅游时遇到有趣一幕，在停车场上突然刮起了陆地龙卷风。何女士介绍，当时她刚停好车，忽然就看到一股“白烟”拔地而起，感觉风的速度和力量都还是很大的，自己之前从来没有看到过，感到很惊讶。最后直到风柱遇到了一辆大货车，并且刮倒了路边的一块招牌才消失，整个过程不到一分钟左右。
据了解，这是尘卷风，是由于地面局地增热不均匀而形成的旋转式尘柱。当地面受局部强烈增温，会在近地面气层中产生的一种尺度较小的旋风。视频由何女士提供。
