David Denny is the general secretary of the Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration, and an executive member of the Barbados Industrial and General Workers Union. He wants the British MP to pay compensation as his family owned hundreds of slaves.

Mr Denny is touring the UK to fight for reparations for former slaves on the island of Barbados.

He was speaking at a teachers trade union event in Dorchester, Dorset. Just a few miles from the MP's home. A huge country estate in the county of Dorset.

The Charborugh Estate is owned by Richard Drax a sitting MP and David Denny says that the huge rural estate was gained from the work of slaves owned by the Drax family in Barbados.

Compensation was paid to the slave owners but never to the slaves!
